Beginning October 13th, we will be displaying our Community Ofrenda.
On November 1 and 2, families across Mexico and Latin American communities worldwide celebrate Día de Muertos. This is not a day of sadness and grief but a joyful celebration rooted in the belief that death is just a part of life's cycle, and that our loved ones can return to be with us once more.
At its heart is the ofrenda, an altar filled with photos, candles, marigolds, pan de muerto, and the favorite foods of those we love and choose honor. Each item a way to remind us and them that they are not forgotten but still with us, providing guidance and love.
Join us in adding a photo, item, memory, or name to our community ofrenda as we celebrate their lives.
You may drop your items at the BRITE Offices beginning October 13th from 10-3, Monday-Thursday.
